What exactly does Aimlio do?
It keeps a private record of what you do at school. You write one sentence; it files the entry, suggests a category and the skills involved, and builds your resume, activities list and Common Application entries from everything you have logged. You can change anything it suggests.
I'm in 8th grade. Isn't this early?
It is the easiest time. Starting early doesn't mean doing more — it means the record builds a line at a time instead of being reconstructed in one evening later on.
What happens after the 3-day trial?
Aimlio asks you to choose a plan. No card is taken for the trial, so nothing is charged until you choose one. After that the plan renews at the price shown until you cancel, and if you cancel you keep access until the period you paid for runs out. Either way nothing you saved is deleted, and export stays available.
Do I need an account to try it?
Not if you are a student. Tap "Try it as a guest" and use Aimlio on that device for 3 days, starting with a few example entries that show how it works — delete them whenever you like. When you create an account, everything you added comes with you and the examples stay behind. Parents need an account, because connecting to a student does.
Does the AI write things for me?
No. It helps you say what you did more clearly. It will not invent an achievement, a number or a role, nothing is applied until you tap it, and your original is kept beside it. You can also switch AI off completely in Profile → Settings, and every
other part of Aimlio carries on working.
Who can see my record?
You, and any parent whose invitation you accepted — read-only. There is no public profile, no feed, and no way for another user to find you.
Can a parent set this up before their child joins?
Yes. A parent can create their own account, look around, and send an invitation by email or link. The child still makes their own account and chooses whether to accept — an email address on its own grants a parent nothing.
Can one parent cover more than one student?
Yes. Family covers up to three students plus one parent. Each student keeps their own separate record, and nothing is merged between them.
What if I get a new phone?
Sign in on the new device and everything is there. You can also export everything to a single file and restore it on any device.
Is Aimlio available for younger students?
Not yet. It is built for students in 8th grade and above, and accounts below that are not accepted. If you are close, you are welcome back when you get there.
